It’s quite usual for average japanese bento. I now appreciate my mother’s work in making one everyday when I was in high school.

The purpose of making Bento is not only for eating but the affection poured in preparing it. Children take it for granted that their mother prepare Bento everyday when they are children, but when they grow old and learn how hard and how long it takes to prepare Bento, they appreciate their mothers’ devotion and affection. I’m a grownup now, and when I watch youtube videos related to Bento I sweetly recollect Bento my mother used to prepare for me.

geez! ain’t practical at all! very lengthy preparation and you’ll only eat it for like 15 mins? never it is practical!

i’ll stick with my simple microwaved sandwich that just took about 5 minutes to make.

    P.S.
who says that my sandwich isn’t healthy? i could place lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, meat, onions, mustard and call it a healthy food. btw it took me just around 7 mins to do it, microwave it for 5 mins and i’m done.
