Someone requested you post a warning about stones in the lentils? This to me is common sense. I, instead, will take this video at face value for what it is: One of the best cooking segments I’ve ever seen. Thank you Clara. This information is very much appreciated. -A.L.

Clara’s food = cheap AND fresh! That’s what I call a meal, doesn’t cost much but is good for you and authentic. This woman needs more public exposure! It’s so great to listen to her stories. I’m gonna have to try this dish sometime.

I absolutely LOVE watching Clara! She reminds me so much of my Grammy, who also grew up during the Depression.
God bless you, Clara!

we all think we have a hard life when our cell battery dies or our cable is out. we don’t realize how easy we have it compared to how life was 40 years ago. they didnt have food stamps or what ever you call it today. These are the people that built this country and gave us what we have today.

I am sitting here eating a big dish of this as I type! I made it exactly the way you did, Clara - even with leftover spaghetti sauce and hot dogs (I didn’t think that combination would be good - I was wrong, this is delicious!). Thank you Clara! I love it!
