I noticed you used two different types of apples. Which variety remained standing at the end?

I love your videos, Thanks so much for making them and I thank those who help you produce them!
I just picked 2 bushels of apples off my tree today, and saw this video in my email, I look forward to trying this new recipe

My grandmother used to make these for me. We also figured out that if you put the apples in a pyrex dish with some water, cover it in saran wrap, and microwave it, you end up with something almost as good. This is handy when one is already using oven to broil pork, which the apples go great with.
Cinnamon from a stick takes so much better, but I prefer using a blender to grind it.
Thank you for these videos. They help me remember growing up with my grandparents, who passed on in 2002 and 2005

These baked apples were a regular treat in our house when I was growing up. My mother would never make desserts, but these were the one exception. And she didn’t have a corer either, but used a good old-fashioned paring knife. Thanks for bringing back good memories, Clara!

THANK YOU! My mother used to make these nearly 50 years ago, and I was just thinking of finding the recipe. And here you are, with the recipe and a video demonstration! You’re a national treasure!
